I had the pleasure of competing with and being the captain & founder of the first CyberPatriot team at Wellesley High School made up of Ryan Hennessee, Nick Lueth, Eddie Zhou, Leon Xiong, and myself. CyberPatriot is a competition where participants secure various operating systems that are hacked as well as construct Cisco networks via the PacketTracer simulation module. When we started competing, there were no official resources, so we self learned by reading Cisco textbooks and working on hacked operating systems. During our 3 years of competing in the Cyberpatriot competition, we created various scripts, checklists, and resources. We won the 3rd Place State Award for Cyberpatriot (February 2017) and 2nd Place State Award for Cyberpatriot (February 2016).

I have great admiration for the people who have served or are serving America whether it's by fighting on the front lines or developing defense technologies. From this Cyberpatriot experience, I've learned how difficult penetration testers and network professionals' jobs are. In the future, I hope to further my passion in cybersecurity through internships with defense contractors or government agencies!

Here are all the resources we created: 2016-2017, 2015-2016.
